You nailed it! “Embrace the suck” is a tired narrative!

This is a wonderful piece. I would that this is not just in the private sector. In the public sector (K-12 education specifically), there is a noticeable shift in level of tolerance. People are choosing their mental health more. This is an interesting shift. We are coming out of the “just suck it” era and forcing leadership (public and private) to change. I love it!

"Embrace the suck" is no longer something that can be widely accepted. You have to sell employees on the job from day one.

Good talent is hard to come by, the leverage is shifting. Totally right!

Aloha🌺Clay, what you say here makes so much sense. Working remote saves $, too if that is one of the goals. No need buy “business attire”, no need putting mileage on your vehicle, increased repairs, gas, less insurance w/fewer miles. Not only forced to deal w/office politics. And if you promote and get a raise, you pay more taxes. Mental health should be top priority. And more “family time”. The way you map it out seems an awesome solution. Who would voluntarily cave to CEO demands to go to office. Right on. Mahalo so much. 🤙🏾shaka
